TJ Harden Returns to College Football After NFL Stint
Running back TJ Harden is returning to college football after a short stint in the NFL. He previously played four seasons at the collegiate level, including three with the UCLA Bruins and one with the SMU Mustangs.
After going undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft, Harden signed as an undrafted free agent with the Cleveland Browns but was released shortly after. He then joined the Seattle Seahawks, where he participated in a preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys before being cut again.
Now, Harden is taking advantage of the NCAA's new 5-in-5 rule, which allows members of the 2022 recruiting class an extra year of eligibility. He is entering the transfer portal, making him a potential target for various college programs. During his last season at SMU, he recorded 787 rushing yards and nine touchdowns.
