Tom Garfinkel Resigns as President and CEO of Miami Dolphins
Tom Garfinkel has announced his resignation as president and CEO of the Miami Dolphins after 13 years, as confirmed by the team on Tuesday in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Despite stepping down from daily operations, Garfinkel will continue to serve as vice chairman of the Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium, and as managing partner of the Miami Grand Prix. The Dolphins also revealed that Daniel Sillman, son-in-law of owner Stephen Ross, will take charge of football operations, with head coach Jeff Hafley and others reporting to him.
During his tenure, Garfinkel played a crucial role in revitalizing the organization, including securing the Miami Grand Prix through 2041 and establishing a long-term agreement for the Miami Open at Hard Rock Stadium. He also facilitated the hosting of significant events such as the Super Bowl and College Football Playoff games. Garfinkel expressed his affection for the Dolphins and noted that the business is in a strong position as he transitions out of the CEO role.
