The 28-year-old fighter has achieved two stoppage victories in the UFC and holds the record for the most significant strikes landed in a three-round fight, totaling 513 against Alberto Montes. He indicated that he would accept a title shot if the offer is appealing, questioning Volkanovski's chances of winning given the champion's age and height.

Volkanovski, now 37, recently reclaimed the featherweight title and defended it against Diego Lopes. He is anticipated to face unbeaten contender Movsar Evloev next, although this matchup has yet to be officially confirmed by the UFC.
