Tony Khan Discusses Signing Kofi and Austin Creed to AEW

Kofi and Austin Creed, collectively known as New Level, made a notable debut at AEW All In: London 2026, winning the AEW World Trios Championships alongside Swerve Strickland. Their signing was officially announced during a press conference held by AEW President Tony Khan after the event.

Khan explained that he approached the signing cautiously, waiting until after the wrestlers' 90-day clauses with WWE expired before engaging with their representatives. He expressed surprise at their availability as free agents, stating that he had not anticipated Kofi and Austin becoming available for AEW.

To enhance the tag team and trios divisions, Khan aimed to pair New Level with a prominent figure in AEW, which led to their collaboration with Strickland. He highlighted the significance of their arrival at Wembley Stadium, noting the historical context of their achievements in wrestling.
