
Tony Khan Participates in ALS Ice Bucket Challenge for AEW's Rebel
Tony Khan, the president of AEW, participated in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to express his support for wrestler Rebel, whose real name is Tanea Brooks. Rebel disclosed her ALS diagnosis in March 2026, prompting Khan's involvement after being nominated by wrestling icon Sting.
During the challenge, Khan nominated Jacksonville Jaguars Head Coach Liam Coen, General Manager James Gladstone, and NFL Hall of Famer Tony Boselli. He also announced the AEW Rebel Heart Dynamite, a benefit event aimed at raising funds for ALS organizations, scheduled for September 9, 2026, at the Akins Ford Arena in Athens, Georgia.
Khan emphasized the significance of the fight against ALS, noting its impact on many lives, including those within AEW. He highlighted Rebel's long-standing contributions to the company and encouraged fans to purchase tickets for the upcoming event.
