Tony Rojas Named Lott IMPACT Trophy Quarterfinalist
Penn State linebacker Tony Rojas has been recognized as a quarterfinalist for the Lott IMPACT Trophy, as announced on Thursday.
The Lott IMPACT Trophy honors college football's defensive player of the year, emphasizing contributions both on and off the field. Rojas has emerged as a key player for the Nittany Lions, recording 44 total tackles, 8.5 tackles-for-loss, four sacks, one forced fumble, and two interceptions in the 2026 season.
Rojas, who previously missed most of the last season due to injury, was an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2024 and has also been named an AP Midseason Second-Team All-American. The award will announce its semifinalists in November, with the winner to be revealed at a ceremony in Newport Beach, California, on December 9.
