In light of the situation, CBS has appointed J.J. Watt to join Jim Nantz in the network's primary NFL broadcasts. Watt, who had a successful first season as an analyst, will be part of the discussions alongside Nantz and CBS Sports president David Berson.

Romo's court date is set for September 21, although his presence is not mandatory. He has a significant contract with CBS, valued at $72 million over the next four years, but his future with the network remains uncertain.
