Toronto FC Finalizes Loan for Alejandro Piedrahita and Acquires Lewis Morgan
Toronto FC has announced the acquisition of Lewis Morgan from San Diego FC in exchange for a 2026 International Roster Slot. This deal was confirmed on Wednesday.
In addition to Morgan, the MLS club is in the process of finalizing a loan for Colombian winger Alejandro Piedrahita, as reported by Tom Bogert of The Athletic. Morgan, who is 29 years old, previously played for Red Bull New York and Inter Miami, and he contributed three assists in 13 appearances for San Diego this season.
Piedrahita, who will turn 24 soon, has been playing for CSKA Sofia, where he won the Bulgarian Cup. He scored two goals in 18 matches with Sofia after transferring from Liga Argentina. The loan for Piedrahita is expected to last until next summer and may serve as a replacement for Deandre Kerr, who is reportedly moving to Portugal's Avs Futebol. Toronto FC will play against the Chicago Fire on Saturday.
