Toronto FC to Play Without Zimmerman and Franklin Against Columbus Crew
Toronto FC will face Columbus Crew without defenders Walker Zimmerman and Kobe Franklin, who are both sidelined due to injuries. The announcement was made on Wednesday ahead of the match scheduled for Saturday.
Zimmerman has been out for the last three games due to an ankle injury and is not expected to return soon, having last played on September 19 in a match against St. Louis City. He has scored one goal in 22 appearances this season. Franklin, who sustained a shoulder injury during the recent victory over the New York Red Bulls, is projected to be unavailable for a couple of weeks. He has contributed two goals and two assists in 20 matches this year.
Currently, Toronto FC holds a record of 2-1-2 in their last five games and is positioned 10th in the Eastern Conference, just outside the playoff zone, as they approach the final four matches of the MLS season.
