Tottenham Players Request Transfers Amidst Poor Start
Tottenham Hotspur players Richarlison, Kevin Danso, and Pape Matar Sarr have expressed their desire to leave the club, as confirmed by head coach Roberto De Zerbi. This announcement comes after Tottenham's 2-0 defeat to Newcastle, where none of the three players were included in the matchday squad.
De Zerbi noted that Richarlison has repeatedly indicated his wish to depart, while Danso approached him two days prior to the match with a similar request. Sarr, who is recovering from a minor injury, also wishes to leave. De Zerbi stated that if the players want to exit, they must provide a financial solution to the club.
Despite Tottenham's significant investment of over £300 million this summer to improve their squad, they currently sit at the bottom of the Premier League table after losing their first two matches without scoring. Richarlison was the team's top scorer last season, and his absence has been felt, especially after the recent loan signing of Omar Marmoush from Manchester City.
