Tottenham Rejects Sunderland's Loan Bid for Kevin Danso
Tottenham Hotspur has turned down a loan request from Sunderland for defender Kevin Danso.
The Austrian centre-back recently made his first appearance of the season during a Carabao Cup match against Charlton, where he came on as a substitute. Despite this, Danso's opportunities in the first team may be limited due to the arrivals of new central defenders and the retention of Micky van de Ven, who has been appointed captain.
It is uncertain if Sunderland will pursue their interest in the 27-year-old, who has played 37 matches for Tottenham since joining the club. Danso was initially signed on loan from Lens in January 2025, with the transfer becoming permanent later that year for a fee of £20.9 million.
