Tottenham Secures Additional £120 Million Investment from Lewis Family
Tottenham Hotspur has received a new financial boost with an additional £120 million investment from the Lewis family, the club's majority owners.
This latest funding increases the family's total contributions to the club to around £320 million within the last year, following a previous £100 million injection during the summer. The Lewis family, who manage ENIC, have taken a more active role in the club's operations since the departure of Daniel Levy as executive chairman last September.
As a result of the summer investment, the Lewis family's ownership stake in Tottenham rose to approximately 88%. Levy had the opportunity to invest to maintain his stake but did not do so, leading to a decrease in his holding from 29.88% to about 27%. If he opts out of this latest investment, his share could further decline to around 25%. The new funds also provide additional support for head coach Roberto De Zerbi following significant summer spending.
