Tottenham Secures First Premier League Win of the Season Against Coventry

Tottenham Hotspur claimed their first Premier League win of the 2026/27 season by defeating Coventry City on Monday evening.

The match saw Spurs score three goals, all from outside the box, while Coventry managed only one shot on target, which resulted in their goal. James Maddison marked his return to the starting lineup with a goal, showcasing his skills after a long absence due to injury. Omar Marmoush and Ben Davies also contributed to the scoreline.

Despite the victory, Tottenham's performance raised questions, as they had not created significant chances. Coventry's defense held firm for much of the match, but they were ultimately undone by Spurs' long-range efforts. The match also featured a brief appearance from Dejan Kulusevski, who returned after 17 months on the sidelines.
