Tottenham Secures Loan Deal for Omar Marmoush from Manchester City
Tottenham Hotspur has reached an agreement to loan forward Omar Marmoush from Manchester City, including an obligation to make the transfer permanent for £60 million next summer.
The 27-year-old Egyptian international joins Spurs after City recently signed Brazilian player Savio for an initial fee of £75 million. Marmoush, who moved to City from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59 million last January, struggled for playing time due to the presence of Erling Haaland.
During his tenure at City, Marmoush scored 16 goals in 62 matches across all competitions, but his league appearances were limited, starting only eight games last season. His versatility as a forward may benefit Spurs, especially as they navigate injury issues with players like Dominic Solanke and contract concerns with Richarlison.
