Toyota Secures 2026 NASCAR Cup Manufacturer Championship Early
Toyota has officially secured the manufacturer championship for the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series, achieving this milestone with three races left in the season. This victory marks Toyota's fourth manufacturer title, having previously won in 2016, 2017, and 2019.
The team has shown remarkable performance, winning 18 out of 33 races this season. Notably, Tyler Reddick contributed six victories, including a record three consecutive wins at the start of the year, which featured a win at the Daytona 500. Other drivers, including Denny Hamlin and Chase Briscoe, also added to the tally with multiple wins.
This championship is a significant achievement for Toyota and TRD, as highlighted by Tyler Gibbs, president of TRD, U.S.A., who emphasized the teamwork and dedication of everyone involved. Toyota's success this year comes after Chevrolet dominated the manufacturer titles from 2021 to 2025.
