Trabzonspor, a Turkish football club, has confirmed that they have begun negotiations to sign Mohamed Salah, the 34-year-old forward from Egypt. Salah departed Liverpool at the conclusion of the last season and is set to join Trabzonspor as a free agent.
The club stated that Salah is expected to arrive in Istanbul on Wednesday, with plans for his welcome in Trabzon to be communicated through official channels. Trabzonspor, known as the Black Sea Storm, has a rich history, having won seven league titles, including their most recent in 2022 after a 38-year gap.
Salah joined Liverpool from Roma in June 2017, where he achieved significant success, including winning two Premier League titles and the Champions League. He scored 257 goals and provided 120 assists in 442 appearances for the club.
