Trackhouse Racing Revamps Shane van Gisbergen's Pit Crew Ahead of Daytona Race
Shane van Gisbergen is set to compete with a largely new pit crew for the Chase cut-off race at Daytona International Speedway this weekend.
Trackhouse Racing has replaced nearly all members of the pit crew for the No. 97 Chevrolet, retaining only the fueler. The new crew members are sourced from A.J. Allmendinger's No. 16 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet, which has performed well this season.
Van Gisbergen currently holds a 31-point lead over Ryan Preece in the driver standings, but the competition is tighter in the owner standings, with the No. 60 RFK Racing Ford just six points behind. This change follows a previous pit crew adjustment made for Ross Chastain during last year's playoffs.
