Travis Green Optimistic About Senators' Future Without Tkachuk

OTTAWA — As NHL training camps commence, Senators head coach Travis Green remains optimistic about his team's future following the departure of captain Brady Tkachuk.

Green acknowledged the impact of Tkachuk's exit but emphasized that the team is focused on moving forward. He noted that players have improved over the summer, with many honing their skills and conditioning. Green expressed confidence in the team's growth and highlighted the addition of winger William Eklund, acquired in the Tkachuk trade, as a positive development.

While the team has yet to name a new captain, Green indicated that the decision will be made thoughtfully. He also mentioned that players Artem Zub and Warren Foegele are recovering from injuries but are expected to return soon. With a new power-play coach in Ben Sexton, Green believes the Senators are well-prepared for the upcoming season.
