Travis Hunter's Rookie Season Raises Questions for Jaguars

Travis Hunter's inaugural season with the Jacksonville Jaguars has been characterized by significant challenges, including a knee injury that limited his playtime. The Jaguars traded up to secure him as the No. 2 pick, hoping he would excel as both a cornerback and a contributor on offense.

Despite a promising start, Hunter's performance was hindered, resulting in only seven catches for 298 yards and one touchdown throughout the season. ESPN analyst Ben Solak noted that while Hunter possesses immense talent and potential as a two-way player, he may currently serve more as an unpredictable X-factor rather than a consistent contributor.

Head coach Liam Coen confirmed that Hunter will primarily play on defense but will also participate in offensive packages. This strategy aims to keep him healthy and effective in his roles. Although the Jaguars have other offensive options, Hunter's ability to generate turnovers could make him a valuable asset if called upon.
