Travis Kelce Focuses on Leadership During Chiefs Training Camp
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is working on improving his leadership skills ahead of a season that might mark the end of his playing career. Coach Andy Reid noted that during training camp, he had to remind Kelce to pace himself, as the veteran was pushing himself hard in practices.
Reid explained that Kelce, being the oldest player on the team, consistently showed up ready to work, often needing to be pulled from practice to ensure he took breaks. Kelce aims to set an example for younger teammates, demonstrating a strong work ethic that has been recognized by players like linebacker Nick Bolton.
As the Chiefs prepare for their regular season opener against the Denver Broncos on September 14, Kelce is also looking forward to reuniting with offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, adding a competitive spirit to the team's training environment.
