TreVeyon Henderson Continues to Sit Out Practice Due to Ankle Injury
TreVeyon Henderson, running back for the Patriots, is not participating in practice as he recovers from an ankle injury.
The injury occurred during a practice session on August 24, and he has not returned to the field since. Reporters noted his absence during the latest practice.
It is uncertain if Henderson will be ready for the regular-season opener against the Seahawks. Last season, he led the team with 180 carries, totaling 911 yards and nine touchdowns. If he is unable to play, Rhamondre Stevenson is expected to take on the primary running back role, with Corey Kiner as the backup. The Patriots may also promote either Hassan Haskins or Lan Larison from the practice squad if Henderson is inactive for the game.
