Trevon Diggs Signs One-Year Deal with Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks have finalized a one-year contract with cornerback Trevon Diggs, as they seek to bolster their defensive lineup.
Diggs, who is 27 years old, previously worked out for the team earlier this week. He became a free agent on January 20 after being released by the Green Bay Packers, where he played only two games. The Packers had acquired him from the Dallas Cowboys in late December.
Despite leading the league with 11 interceptions in 2021, Diggs has faced health challenges, including a torn ACL in September 2023 and subsequent knee surgery in December 2024. Over the last three seasons, he has participated in just 22 games, accumulating a total of 20 interceptions and 63 passes defensed in his 67 career games. The Seahawks had previously reached an agreement with Terrion Arnold, but he has yet to sign, and the NFL may place him on the commissioner’s exempt list if he does.
