Trevon Diggs Signs One-Year Deal with Seattle Seahawks
Cornerback Trevon Diggs has signed a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks, as reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter. This agreement follows a meeting between Diggs and the franchise.
Diggs was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 2020 and quickly became a significant player in their secondary. He led the NFL in interceptions during his second season, earning Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors. After a successful start, he received a five-year contract extension worth $97 million. However, his recent seasons have been marred by injuries, including multiple concussions.
After being released by the Cowboys mid-season last year, Diggs joined the Green Bay Packers but only played in two games before being let go again. The Seahawks view him as a valuable addition to their roster, alongside another former Alabama defensive back, Terrion Arnold, whom they also plan to sign.
