Trevon Diggs Signs with Seattle Seahawks for 2026 NFL Season
Cornerback Trevon Diggs, a two-time Pro Bowl player, is joining the Seattle Seahawks for the 2026 NFL season. Following a tryout on Tuesday, he is expected to sign a one-year contract with the defending Super Bowl champions on Wednesday.
This signing comes as the Seahawks face challenges in their secondary, particularly after the potential suspension of cornerback Terrion Arnold due to legal issues. Diggs, who previously tried out for the Detroit Lions, brings significant experience, having recorded 20 career interceptions since being drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 2020.
Diggs had a standout season in 2021, leading the NFL with 11 interceptions, which earned him a first-team All-Pro selection. However, his recent seasons have been marred by injuries and coaching conflicts. The Seahawks, now with a thinner secondary following the departures of cornerback Tariq Woolen and safety Coby Bryant, hope Diggs can contribute positively alongside familiar teammate DeMarcus Lawrence and under head coach Mike Macdonald.
