Trevor Peek Discusses Challenges of Two-Year Layoff Ahead of UFC Paris Fight
Trevor Peek has not participated in a fight for almost two years, a hiatus he described as nearly career-ending. The Tennessee fighter is set to face undefeated British prospect Kurtis Campbell at UFC Paris.
Peek's absence was due to consecutive injuries that led him to question his future in the sport. He suffered a fractured left leg while preparing for UFC Des Moines and later tore his ACL, MCL, and meniscus during a comeback attempt for UFC Nashville.
During his recovery, Peek engaged in hunting and reconnected with his longtime coach Jeff Powell. He is moving down to featherweight for this fight after previously losing two consecutive bouts at lightweight. Peek last fought in September 2024, losing a decision to Yanal Ashmouz at UFC Vegas 97.
