Troy Parrott Approaches Transfer to Real Betis from AZ Alkmaar
Republic of Ireland striker Troy Parrott is close to transferring from AZ Alkmaar to Real Betis, with discussions progressing significantly towards a €20 million (£17.1 million) deal.
The agreement between the Dutch club and the Spanish side is reportedly nearing completion. Parrott, who began his career at Tottenham, joined Alkmaar in July 2024 after a loan spell at Excelsior Rotterdam.
Last season, Parrott displayed strong performance, scoring 16 goals in 28 matches despite a knee injury that sidelined him for part of the season. He also made notable contributions to the Republic of Ireland's national team, including scoring a hat-trick against Hungary, marking a significant achievement in Irish football history.
