Tua Tagovailoa to Start Preseason Game Amid Quarterback Competition

Tua Tagovailoa is set to start in the preseason game against the Broncos, as confirmed by head coach Kevin Stefanski during a press conference. This matchup offers Tagovailoa an opportunity to distinguish himself in the ongoing quarterback competition with the Atlanta Falcons.

Stefanski indicated that the starters, including Tagovailoa, will participate in a series of plays, approximately ten, during the game. Following Tagovailoa, Cooper Rush will take the field, with Jack Strand slated to play third.

Throughout the offseason, Tagovailoa has been in competition with Michael Penix Jr., although Penix's recovery from an ACL tear has hindered his participation. He is not expected to engage in 11-on-11 drills during the upcoming practice sessions with the Colts.
