Twins Appoint Brian Reith as New Pitching Coach

The Minnesota Twins have officially appointed Brian Reith as their new pitching coach, as announced on Tuesday. He takes over from Pete Maki, whose contract was not renewed following the conclusion of the season.

Reith has spent the last five years coaching pitchers for the Tampa Bay Rays' Triple-A team in Durham. His professional playing career includes time in the major leagues with the Cincinnati Reds from 2001 to 2004.

Additionally, the Twins have promoted Ben Myers from their training staff in St. Paul to serve as an assistant athletic trainer at the major league level.
