Two Custodians Found Dead in Chicago Elementary School

Authorities reported that two custodians were found dead at Mark Twain Elementary School in Chicago on Monday afternoon. The victims, a 48-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man, both suffered gunshot wounds to the head.

Emergency responders transported the individuals to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead. A weapon was recovered at the scene, and police confirmed that no students were present in the building at the time of the incident.

School principal Matthew Moline addressed the school community, acknowledging the impact of the tragedy and promising to provide further information as the investigation unfolds. Trumaine Reeves, representing the custodial staff union, expressed condolences to the families affected by the loss.
