Gibbs noted that the reliance on digital mirrors might have allowed some drivers to remain in the Cup Series who otherwise might not qualify. He compared the mirrors used in NASCAR to those found in transit buses, highlighting their similarities. He agreed with Dale Earnhardt Jr. on the potential benefits of returning to traditional mirrors, believing it could enhance racing by reducing reliance on digital displays.
