Tyler Breeze Discusses End of Unique WWE Contract
Tyler Breeze has announced that he is no longer under contract with WWE, with his unique deal having expired at the beginning of August. The 38-year-old wrestler shared details about his contract during an appearance on The Certified Mark Show, explaining that he had a versatile role within the company after being released in 2021.
Breeze's recent contract allowed him to engage in various activities, including independent wrestling and contributions to the UpUpDownDown gaming YouTube channel. He described the arrangement as unprecedented, stating that it was a one-of-a-kind deal that he believes will not be replicated in the future.
During his time with WWE, Breeze participated in one match under this contract, facing Ethan Page in an NXT Homecoming special in 2025. He expressed a desire to explore opportunities outside WWE, including AEW and other promotions, while also continuing his work as a wrestling trainer at the Flatbacks school in Florida.
