Tyler Loop Faces Pressure as Ravens Evaluate Kicking Situation

Tyler Loop's role as the kicker for the Baltimore Ravens is under scrutiny after he missed two field goals during the preseason finale against the Commanders. This performance drew boos from the home crowd and led to a cautious evaluation from head coach Jesse Minter.

Despite having a generally good training camp, Loop's inability to convert in pressure situations has raised concerns. Minter indicated that the team is exploring all options as they prepare for the upcoming season, suggesting that they may seek additional competition for Loop.

Loop, who was drafted in the sixth round to replace former All-Pro kicker Justin Tucker, has successfully made field goals from various distances but has also missed attempts from 49, 51, and 58 yards. In his rookie season, he completed 30 of 34 field goals, but a critical miss in the last game against the Steelers contributed to the Ravens missing the playoffs and the subsequent firing of coach John Harbaugh.
