Tyler Mahle Expresses Desire to Stay with Atlanta Braves
Tyler Mahle has expressed a desire to remain with the Atlanta Braves following a successful stint after his acquisition at the 2026 MLB trade deadline.
Initially seen as a back-of-the-rotation starter, Mahle surprised many by delivering a remarkable performance, achieving a 1.99 ERA and a 0.957 WHiP over 54.1 innings with the Braves. His postseason contributions included allowing only three runs in 13.1 innings, further solidifying his value.
Despite the challenges of replicating such success, Mahle's recent form suggests he could be more than just a reliable fourth or fifth starter. With uncertainties in the Braves' rotation for 2027, a potential one- or two-year contract could benefit both Mahle and the team.
