Tyler Shough Suffers Two Broken Bones in Left Hand
Tyler Shough, the quarterback for the Saints, has been listed on the team's injury report due to a left hand injury that is expected to persist in the coming weeks.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Shough sustained two broken bones in his non-throwing hand during the team's Week 4 defeat against the Falcons. Despite the injury, he has continued to practice and play, although he has been taping his ring and pinky fingers together and using additional protection on his hand.
The recovery period for the injury is anticipated to last several weeks, during which Shough has adapted by using his right hand for handoffs in the recent loss to the Vikings. The Saints are set to compete against the Giants this Sunday, followed by a matchup with the Steelers in Paris in Week 7 before entering their bye week.
