Tyler Smith Active for Cowboys; Joey Porter Jr. Out Due to Illness
Cowboys left guard Tyler Smith will participate in Thursday Night Football, marking his debut for the 2026 season. He had previously been on injured reserve after undergoing surgery on September 8 to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb, which caused him to miss four games.
In contrast, Cowboys cornerback Joey Porter Jr. will not play due to an illness. Other inactive players for the Cowboys include linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, cornerback Cobie Durant, outside linebacker James Houston, and offensive linemen Ajani Cornelius and Drew Shelton, along with wide receiver Camden Brown.
The Buccaneers also have several players inactive, including quarterback Baker Mayfield, safety Antoine Winfield, cornerback Benjamin Morrison, linebacker SirVoce Dennis, and offensive guards Billy Schrauth and Luke Haggard.
