Tyrrell Hatton Takes Family Break Amid Rain Delays at British Masters

The Husqvarna British Masters experienced severe weather disruptions, leading to a four-hour rain delay on the opening day. Tyrrell Hatton took advantage of this break to visit his family in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, before returning to the course ahead of the resumption of play.

Initially, play was suspended just two minutes after the 7:30 a.m. tee time due to lightning, resulting in a three-hour delay. Although play resumed briefly at 10:32 a.m., officials had to halt it again after midday due to flooding on the Brabazon course. Ultimately, play did not resume until 4:15 p.m., with the day concluding at 7:11 p.m., resulting in over seven hours of lost golf.

Hatton, who opened with a three-under 69, faced challenges in his second round, carding a one-over 73. He has a busy schedule ahead, including events like the Irish Open and Wentworth, and is looking to build momentum as he prepares for the 2027 Ryder Cup qualifying events.
