Tyson Fury Calls Off Joshua Fight, Challenges Usyk for Trilogy

Tyson Fury has announced that his highly anticipated fight with Anthony Joshua will not take place, opting instead to challenge Oleksandr Usyk to a trilogy bout scheduled for November.

Negotiations for the Fury-Joshua match have stalled due to unresolved financial issues and the absence of a confirmed date or venue. In a recent Instagram video, Fury criticized Joshua, labeling him as weak-minded and suggesting he lacks the courage to proceed with the fight. Fury indicated that this situation has led him to seek a match with Usyk.

Usyk, who vacated his heavyweight titles in June, expressed a desire for one final fight before retirement. He previously defeated Fury in May 2024 and again in their rematch seven months later. Both Fury and Joshua had successful tune-up fights in July, but Joshua faced a scare when he was knocked down twice during his match.
