Tyson Fury Doubts Anthony Joshua Fight Will Happen
Tyson Fury has voiced doubts regarding his anticipated fight with Anthony Joshua, suggesting it is unlikely to occur due to ongoing disputes over contractual terms and venue preferences. The bout, which was expected to take place in November, has faced complications as Joshua's team has signed a contract for the fight to be held in the UK, while Saudi organizers are advocating for a venue in the United States.
Fury criticized Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn on social media, claiming that financial demands are hindering the agreement. He stated that the fight's potential location in the US would result in lower earnings for Joshua compared to a UK venue. Hearn confirmed that a list of changes necessary for the fight to proceed in America has been submitted to the Saudi organizers, but he has not received any feedback.
In addition to financial concerns, Hearn mentioned that logistical issues such as travel and media arrangements are also part of the discussions. The situation has been further complicated by the involvement of Dana White's Zuffa Boxing, which is pushing for the fight to be staged in the US. Hearn emphasized the significance of holding the fight in Britain, citing Joshua's achievements and the impact on British boxing.
