UCLA Football Overcomes Slow Start to Defeat Michigan State
UCLA football bounced back from a sluggish start to defeat Michigan State 28-10 at the Rose Bowl on Saturday afternoon. After trailing early, the ninth-ranked Bruins scored 28 unanswered points to maintain their unbeaten record.
The Bruins initially struggled, allowing an early touchdown before turning the game around with strong defensive plays and effective offense. UCLA's defense limited Michigan State to 156 total yards, while the Bruins amassed 443 yards, with quarterback Ty Dieffenbach returning after a midgame injury scare.
Dieffenbach completed 18 of 31 passes for 198 yards and a touchdown, while running backs Anthony Woods and Wayne Knight contributed significantly to the offense. The victory marks UCLA's first 7-0 start since 2005, and they will next face Nevada in a nonconference matchup.
