UEFA Acknowledges Allegation of Payment to Gianni Infantino's Alleged Mistress

UEFA has acknowledged an allegation that it made a payment to an alleged mistress of Gianni Infantino while he served as general secretary. Infantino, who is currently the president of FIFA, has denied these claims.

The Telegraph reported that during Infantino's time at UEFA, a woman purportedly involved with him received a six-figure sum, which included funding for her MBA after her departure. UEFA stated that the payment was consistent with the regulations in place at that time, which have since been revised.

A FIFA spokesperson emphasized that Infantino categorically denies the allegations, asserting that no complaints regarding his conduct have ever been raised by employees at UEFA or FIFA. UEFA confirmed that the payment made to the individual was in accordance with the regulations applicable to departing staff at the time.
