UEFA Demands Transparency from FIFA Regarding Infantino's Presidency
UEFA has issued a letter to FIFA demanding answers to 42 specific questions concerning Gianni Infantino's presidency and his connections with Donald Trump. The letter, authored by UEFA secretary general Theodore Theodoridis, was sent to FIFA's Mattias Grafstrom and requires a response within two weeks.
The concerns were raised during a FIFA Council meeting in Zurich, where Infantino admitted to making mistakes but did not adequately address the issues. Theodoridis emphasized the need for immediate answers and requested an audio recording of the meeting to ensure transparency.
The questions cover various topics, including alleged conflicts of interest, financial transparency, and governance issues. UEFA has not yet nominated a candidate to challenge Infantino in the upcoming presidential election, which raises further questions about the future leadership of FIFA.
