Uefa Sets Deadline for Fifa to Release Governance Documents
Uefa has issued a directive to Fifa, requiring the release of essential documents related to its governance and decision-making by November 2.
This demand follows a Fifa Council meeting where president Gianni Infantino expressed regret over a controversial World Cup sell-off plan but did not fully clarify its development. Uefa's general secretary, Theodore Theodoridis, highlighted that Fifa has not adequately addressed several fundamental questions, including issues surrounding the Fifa Forward Enterprise and a suspended ban on USA striker Folarin Balogun.
The letter from Uefa outlined eight pages of inquiries, emphasizing the need for immediate answers rather than deferring them until the next Fifa Council meeting. Uefa has not specified potential actions if Fifa fails to comply with the deadline.
