UFC 333 Preview: Key Storylines Ahead of Volkanovski vs. Evloev

This Saturday, UFC 333 will be held at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, marking the 24th event in the city since the UFC's debut there in 2010. The main event features Alexander Volkanovski defending his featherweight title against unbeaten Movsar Evloev, while Petr Yan will face Merab Dvalishvili in a bantamweight title rematch.

Volkanovski, who recently turned 38, aims to equal the record for most title defenses in featherweight history. He has had a successful career, bouncing back from previous losses to regain his title. Evloev, with a perfect record of 20-0, has faced a long journey to this title shot, overcoming injuries and setbacks over 12 years and 20 fights.

In the bantamweight division, Yan, now a two-time champion, looks to defend his title against Dvalishvili, who previously held the title. Dvalishvili's recent performances have raised questions about his ability to reclaim the title after a loss to Yan. Additionally, Alexander Volkov's future in the heavyweight division may hinge on his upcoming fight against Rizvan Kuniev, as he seeks to solidify his title shot aspirations.
