UFC Faces Multiple Fighter Withdrawals Ahead of Upcoming Events
The UFC is currently dealing with several fighter withdrawals ahead of UFC 334 and UFC Vegas 123, prompting matchmakers to seek replacements. Gastón Bolaños has pulled out of his October 31 fight against Francis Marshall due to a training injury, with Dakota Hope stepping in as his replacement.
In addition to Bolaños, Nazim Sadykhov and Jefferson Nascimento have both withdrawn from their scheduled bout at UFC 334, which is set for November 14 at Madison Square Garden. Nascimento's withdrawal was due to an injury, and Sadykhov later followed suit, requesting that no replacement be found. Furthermore, Baisangur Susurkaev has also withdrawn from his fight against Donte Johnson, with Cesar Almeida reported as a potential replacement.
These withdrawals are concerning for the fighters' careers, particularly for Bolaños, Nascimento, and Sadykhov, who are facing challenges in maintaining their momentum. The UFC has previously dealt with similar situations, including last-minute changes for other events, but has managed to find replacements in time for the upcoming fights.
