UFC Fighter Namo Fazil Claims Attack by 15 Chechens During Weight Cut
Namo Fazil, a 29-year-old fighter, recently faced a challenging week after competing in Dana White's Contender Series, where he suffered a knockout loss to Kaik Brito. Following the fight, Fazil revealed that he was attacked by a group of 15 Chechens during his weight cut, an incident he described on social media.
Fazil explained that the altercation occurred on the day of the weigh-in while he was in a sauna, attempting to cut weight. He stated that his coaches were occupied, and when a group entered the room, he initially did not want to engage in a fight. However, after being slapped, he reacted, leading to a chaotic scene where his coaches intervened. The police were called to the situation.
Reports indicate that one of the individuals involved in the attack was Baisangur Susurkaev, a teammate of Khamzat Chimaev. Fazil's previous encounters with Chechen fighters have fueled speculation about the motivations behind the incident.
