UFC's Aiemann Zahabi and Coach Confront Fighter After Submission Loss
During a recent regional MMA event at the Casino De Montreal, UFC bantamweight Aiemann Zahabi and his coach Firas Zahabi confronted fighter Leo Bonin after Bonin submitted Zahabi's teammate, Harda Karim, in the final minute of their bout.
The incident occurred at Samourai MMA 20, which featured notable fights including Usman Nurmagomedov's knockout victory over Archie Colgan. Following Bonin's win, Firas Zahabi entered the cage and confronted him, leading to a heated exchange that required staff intervention to separate the two.
Aiemann Zahabi, who was commentating at the event, also attempted to engage with Bonin. Tensions escalated further when a member of Bonin's team appeared to strike a cornerman. Bonin later suggested that his pre-fight trash talk contributed to the confrontation and claimed Firas threatened to meet him in the parking lot. The event's overseeing commission may consider disciplinary actions following the altercation.
