Ukraine Regains Access to Starlink and Starshield Networks
Ukraine announced on Saturday that it has regained access to the Starlink and Starshield communications networks following several days of restricted connectivity.
Defense Minister Yevhen Khmara confirmed the return of a high-speed, stable connection, emphasizing its importance for military operations, logistics, and communications on the front lines. President Volodymyr Zelensky acknowledged the restoration of access and expressed gratitude to various American officials for their support.
The disruptions had affected Ukraine's military efforts against Russian forces, with uncertainty surrounding the reasons for the limitations. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk indicated that the Starshield systems were under U.S. government control, while officials from the Trump administration denied involvement in the restrictions. U.S. lawmakers had voiced concerns over the outages, urging action to prevent future occurrences.
