Ukrainian Drone Strikes Result in Civilian Casualties and Damage to Ozon Warehouse
Ukrainian drone strikes overnight resulted in the deaths of at least six civilians in Russia, with significant damage reported at a warehouse belonging to the online retailer Ozon, according to regional officials.
The strikes also targeted an industrial facility in the Samara region, where Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev noted several injuries. Ukraine's military claimed responsibility for hitting the Novokuibyshevsk refinery, which ignited a fire.
This incident marks the first attack on Ozon, following a series of drone strikes on its competitor Wildberries, as part of Ukraine's broader strategy against Russian economic infrastructure. In other regions, casualties were reported, including two children killed in Yeysk and additional injuries in Belgorod and Bryansk. Russia's Defence Ministry stated that it intercepted 457 Ukrainian drones during the same period.
