Ukrainian Drones Target Major Russian Refinery, Causing Fire

Ukrainian drones attacked a major oil refinery located deep within Russia, according to military officials on Thursday. This incident marks the fourth such strike in three days as part of Ukraine's strategy to undermine Russia's oil production capabilities.

The targeted facility, the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat complex in Bashkortostan, is one of Russia's largest oil refining and petrochemical plants, processing up to 74 million barrels of oil annually. The attack resulted in a fire at the site, which is situated approximately 800 miles from Ukraine's border.

In response to the drone strikes, Russian officials reported that two civilians were injured. Additionally, a separate refinery in Orsk, previously hit by Ukrainian drones, has suspended operations due to significant damage, with repairs expected to take up to six months. The ongoing conflict has led to increased tensions, with both sides continuing to exchange attacks.
