Ulster Rugby Secures Contract Extensions for Baloucoune, McNabney, and Hopes
Ulster Rugby has confirmed that players Robert Baloucoune, James McNabney, and Joe Hopes have signed contract extensions that will keep them with the team until at least the summer of 2029.
Baloucoune, who has recently gained recognition for his performances in the Six Nations, received the Rising Player award for his efforts in 2026. McNabney, returning from a serious knee injury, was called up to the Ireland squad just a week prior to his contract extension. Hopes, a versatile forward, made his debut last season and contributed to the team's Challenge Cup victory over Zebre.
Ulster's general manager, Rory Best, expressed satisfaction with the new contracts, highlighting Baloucoune's significance to both Ulster and the national team, as well as the potential shown by McNabney and Hopes in their early careers.
